The Biblical stories of David's Mighty Men are fascinating. In this sermon called, "Stand Your Ground," we look at the life of a man named Shammah who was one of David's Mighty Men. When the Philistines came to attack Israel, the Bible says that all the men of Israel fled, except Shammah. He stood in the middle of a field of beans and defended the field. In this powerful sermon, Pastor Chad explains how God has called us to stand and defend what God has given to us. There are some fields that are worth defending. Fields like our marriages and children. Fields like Joy and Spiritual fervency. The Bible says that Shammah stood and defended the field, but it also says that God brought a great victory that day. Pastor Chad concludes by showing us how God does not need us to win the battle, for the battle belongs to the Lord. God simply needs us to stand and fight. God will win the battle!

When the men of 2 Kings 6 lost a borrowed axe head, it halted the work they were doing. Their progress had to stop. The man of God, Elisha, asked them, "where did it fall?" When they showed him, he threw a stick in the Jordan River and that act of obedience caused the iron axe head to float. In this sermon, Pastor Chad challenges us with the same question, "Where did you lose it?" Where did your spiritual growth stop? Where did your growth come to a halt? He then shows us how obedience can cause God to begin to work in our lives again. We hope you find this sermon encouraging in your walk with Christ.

PCC hosts the 3rd Annual Rise Together, a community Sunday. This year's focus was on providing gas cards for local families battling cancer. Our Scripture was Psalm 24, when King David asked, "Who can ascend the hill of the Lord?" and "Who is this King of Glory?" We answer those questions by showing it was the beautiful work of Jesus Christ. He is the King of the Glory, the Lord strong and mighty! He alone can ascend the hill of the Lord and when you and I are in Christ, we share in His work. We share in His accomplishments. in other words, you and I cannot approach God on our own. We cannot be good enough. We must have the grace of God and His salvation in our lives.

What do you do when Satan makes war against you? Have you experienced his attacks, perhaps in your family, your job or even your health? When the Amorite Kings formed an alliance against Gibeon in Joshua 10, Israel came to their defense and God promised a supernatural victory. In this stand alone sermon, Pastor Chad walks us through Joshua to show us how God can still work powerfully in our lives today. For Joshua and the children of Israel, God caused the sun and moon to stand still. He is the same yesterday, today and forever! God can work supernaturally in our lives as well. We hope this sermon is faith-building in your life.
