Learning The Gospel. Loving People.
Leading This Generation.
Middle School • High School • College
MIDDLE SCHOOL • Our Sunday night meeting is for all middle school students (5th-8th grade) at 6pm. For this service, we build it around the specific needs of the students attending. We understand middle school has a lot of transitions. Because of the transitional period, we design our teaching and services around their needs and how to use this period to develop a strong relationship with Jesus.
HIGH SCHOOL • Our Sunday night meeting is for all high school students (9th-12th grade) at 6pm. For this service, we understand that high school is stressful for planning for college or work while playing sports, in band or working. We design this atmosphere to encourage our students to keep Jesus first and have the boldness to share His love to their school.
COLLEGE • Our college students have their own Life Group leaders who interact with them and have meetings with them outside of normal service times while the students are still welcome to join us on Wednesday nights.
Not A Boring Student Ministry
Our services are never replicated from week to week. Each week we change things up but will always have the Gospel presented. Each week there will be 5 areas covered (Preaching, Worship, Life Groups, Game and Announcements). There is a heavy emphasis on Preaching, Worship and Life Groups. This takes most of our service times. Preaching, or some will call teaching, of God’s work is the sole reason we meet. We have the Word to encourage and instruct us in life. There will never be a service that does not have the Word presented. For worship, we use this time to welcome the presence of God into the room. We encourage students to spread out and just spend time giving honor to God. In life groups, we use this time to disciple and pray for one another. This is where true connections are made.
L3 is more than just a student ministry at Preaching Christ Church. We are very much Kingdom of God minded. We partner with other local ministries for events. We attend large conferences. We have a solid partnership with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) where we can go into local schools and share Jesus on that platform. Every year in the Fall, we host a student conference called Speak Life Student Conference. We invite local student ministries and students to join us for a high energy time to experience God together and to Speak Life into this generation.
FAQs for Parents
Where does L3 meet?
L3 hosts their meetings in the main sanctuary. There are no other ministries who meet on Sunday nights.
As a parent, can I check out L3?
Absolutely! We love when parents want to know what and how we do things. Please check in with Pastor Glenn when you arrive so he knows who you are!
What are Life Groups?
Life Groups are designed to put students in a group with other students of the same age and with a leader who is assigned their group for the school year. Our goal with Life Groups is to create a welcoming family atmosphere where students can share their needs and be discipled.
Who is my student’s Life Group Leader?
Your student’s life group leader is based on the gender and age of the student. We have 10 life groups in our ministry. We have 4 in middle school (3 female, 1 male), 4 in high school (2 female, 2 male) and 2 in college (1 female and 1 male). You and your student will be introduced to their life group leader on the first visit to L3 during drop off.
